Heart and Joan Jett team to co-headline Earth Day charity concert

Heart and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will co-headline an upcoming Earth Day charity benefit, dubbed "Kiss the Sky! The Orca Freedom Concert" in Seattle, Wash set for this spring.

According to a news release posted Feb. 28 at UltimateClassicRock.com, the veteran Seattle hard rockers fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson and the "I Love Rock n' Roll" hitmakers will head up a list of performing artists, which includes: Brian May protégé Arielle, Country Joe McDonald and Andrew Morse and others.

The event is slated for April 22 in Seattle at EMP Museum's "Sky Church" and will benefit the Center for Whale Research, OrcaLab, and the International Marine Mammal Project of Earth Island Institute, through the “Orca Trust” fund of Orca Conservancy.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Feb. 28 and special VIP packages and Meet and Greets are available.

Heart's Rocking' Heaven Tour of Canada with special guest Jason Bonham will kick off June 14 in Montreal, QC at Bell Centre.

Joan Jett's next Canadian gig is Aug. 17 in Vancouver, BC at Pacific National Exhibition.
