Heart and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts headline EMP to benefit Wild Orca research and advocacy.

This Earth Day witness legendary rock ‘n’ rollers Heart and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts as they headline a historic concert in EMP Museum’s spectacular Sky Church.

With additional performances by Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and guitar virtuoso, Arielle—protégé of Queen lead guitarist, Brian May—, Country Joe McDonald of Woodstock fame, New York-based musician and activist Andrew Morse, and special guests. Emceed by legendary Seattle radio personality Norman B.

Celebrate the Orca—the totem species of the Pacific Northwest—while supporting The Center for Whale Research on San Juan Island, OrcaLab on BC’s Hanson Island, and Earth Island Institute’s International Marine Mammal Project in Berkeley. These groups are diligently working to recover endangered orcas and advocate for their freedom and well-being.

“Kiss the Sky! The Orca Freedom Concert” benefits The Center for Whale Research, OrcaLab, and the International Marine Mammal Project of Earth Island Institute, through the "Orca Trust" fund of Orca Conservancy, a Washington State 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. www.orcafreedomconcert.org

This event has been generously sponsored by Guitar Center and the Pacific Whale Watch Association.
