This week marked the birthday of a rock icon by the name of Alice Cooper (*aka Vincent Damon Furnier). For this fan, he marks the launch of my obsession with live music as an Alice Cooper concert was indeed my first ever. He is a member of a list of pioneers to rock opera, as he was well known for his made up face with the blackened eyes and his theatrical stage shows.
His grand career spans over five decades with his Detroit start in the late 1960's and is

Groove Alliance made their debut at The Beached Whale on Ft. Myers Beach this Monday evening and you may also catch this fine Funk line up at the Dek Bar in Cape Coral, every Tuesday evening beginning at 9:30 PM.
We Ain't Right makes their Cottage evening debut this Sunday evening. This is a first for this quartet to play The Cottage and it is recommended that local fans take in this show, as this line up now features a new master on lead guitar with the addition of Stephen McWilliams to the roster; who brings new richness and depth to the guitar riffs.
Add Mr. McWilliams to the vocals of the lovely miss Angela Mitchell Moss and the Gunder-Doyle shenanigans and this band knocks it out of the park! You may also catch this show at another beach location when they play their weekly Wednesday evening at Castaway's in Santini Plaza as well!
Upcoming shows to catch this week are The Flying Hasselhoffs at The Beached Whale this Tuesday and the next coming Tuesday evenings starting at 10 PM sharp. The Flying Hasselhoffs are two thirds of the line up from the famed local super group, 10,000 Views.
The members consist of Timmy Johnston and John Hyatt and they pack a great show for their local fans, as they both switch off playing all instruments featured within their set lists. John Hyatt even gets on the 'cocktail' drum kit for a spell and it is a treat to see and hear!
This fan highly recommends taking in an evening with the Hasselhoffs duo and you may do so either at The Beached Whale or at Nemo's on the Beach every first and third Friday of every month through season. The Nemo's show runs from 6-9 PM.
Jeff Greene is an up and coming solo acoustic artist that fans can take in at Orpheus Cafe every Wednesday evening from 6-9 PM on Ft. Myers Beach. Afterwards fans may hop on over to The Beached Whale at 10 PM and catch one of the best local line ups around when 10,000 Views hosts their weekly Wild Wednesday gig...always a crowd pleaser!
Myth closes out a great beach line up for this coming weekend when they take over the Lani Kai this coming Friday night. Their show starts at 9:30 PM and a night with their branded 'Mythfits' is usually something to write home about hands down!
Bike Night takes over Cape Coral this Saturday, February 9th from 5-10 PM along 47th Terrace. Some featured acts that will perform are as follows: Ground Zero (Bike Night main stage), Long Story Short (Backstreets), and MT40 (Backstreets). This would be a great week to get out to Bike Night on the Cape, as there is only one other date left until the closing one upcoming in April.

Smack Daddy returns to Jack's Bait Shack this coming weekend featuring their newest addition to the fold on Bass, with Patrick McGuire back on the local scene and tearing it up better than ever.
Back Lash continues to work a nice close to home schedule when they roll back into the Blue Monkey in Naples this Friday evening, show time is 9:00 PM.
