Healthy pizza anyone?

Delicious, healthy, pizza, three words not often used in the same sentence. But my love for pizza and the need to teach my children healthy eating habits has brought me to the place where delicious healthy pizzas do exist, Uno Chicago Grill.

Located on Southport Road inside the Target Plaza, Uno offers many different pizzas for the health and weight-conscious amongst us.

I often take advantage of their double deal, $19.99 for two deep-dish pizzas or $13.99 for two thin crust ones. My favorite pie is the Farmer's Market Deep Dish Pizza on their nine-grain crust.

A regular size of this delicious oven baked goodness feeds up to four people. It says up to three on their website, but it easily feeds four at my house. The whole pie has 1440 calories or 180 calories per slice.

The nine-grain crust includes corn, rye, brown rice, grits, oat flakes, triticale flakes, soy grits, flax seed, millet, and barley. In short, the multi-grain lovers delight. If 180 calories per slice still sounds like a lot in your book, their thin crust pizza is what you should opt for.
