An apple is a great snack choice. Most people eat apples because they are delicious and nutritious. The skin of an apple also provides lots of fiber. Apples are classified as a fruit and can be eaten raw or cooked.
So the next time you are shopping at your local market, observe the different types of apples in the produce section. You can purchase a red, yellow or green apple. Apples are used to prepare many food items including: apple pie, apple cobbler, apple sauce, caramel apples, apple fritters, and stewed apples
Learn how to eat healthy. Consume lots of fruits, vegetables and lean meats daily. If a deli restaurant offers you an apple or chips with your sandwich, select the apple.

Detroiters eat healthy, purchase apples at Detroit Eastern Market, local markets and neighborhood grocery stores.
