"BehaviorCorp's certified alcohol and drug abuse counselors deal with troubled adolescents or adults whose use of legal (prescription medication) or illegal substances has negatively affected their lives. Clients may be self-referred to the program or referred by a probation department, attorney, family physician, family member or employer. Services begin with an interview appointment with a BehaviorCorp counselor who conducts a basic assessment and refers the client to a therapist. An individualized treatment plan is developed and treatment usually lasts 3-4 months, with the length of counseling services jointly determined by counselor and client.
