It's that special time of year when all the children (big and small) look forward to dressing up and filling up their Halloween bags with lots of goodies. Candy can be found at every corner during this holiday season.
As a mom to four grown children, I know what it's like to spend days after Halloween with kids that are junked out on mini-chocolate bars and candy corn. An alternative to sugar-filled treats is available and will help you avoid the junk as well.
Eating healthier versions of Halloween treats not only will make the kids feel satisfied but will give them energy that lasts without the crash and burn side effects of refined sugar. Below is a simple recipe you can use this year to hand out to your neighborhood kids.
