I love to eat sweets. The hardest part for any diet for me at least is curbing my sugar cravings. I love chocolate, I eat it everyday within reason. Here is a great low calorie recipe for cinnamon sugar tortilla chips with a drizzle of dark chocolate.
All you need are some tortilla's, some sugar and cinnamon, butter and dark chocolate syrup. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together on a 1 to 1 ratio about a tablespoon of each. I recommend using country crock churned butter, it has no cholesterol and all the good fats our bodies need. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and then grab the tortillas and soak one side with the butter and sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar all over coating the tortilla. Set the oven to 350 degrees to bake them for about 10 minutes. You can make 2 to 4 tortillas enough to serve 4 people. They are a great alternative to chips. Bake them until they are crispy, once done cut them up into triangles and drizzle some dark chocolate syrup on them. Voila! A great low calorie tasty, guilt free treat.
Also another good low calorie treat for ice cream substitute I recommend any skinny cow products they are less than 200 calories and a good alternative to eat. Another good low calorie treat for all you chocolate lovers are dark chocolate pieces, there are a great selection of dark chocolate treats especially the dark chocolate covered almonds at Trader Joe's that are a great little pick me up. Eating healthy doesn't mean cutting out everything you love it means finding alternatives to still enjoy the evil treats. Enjoy!!
