2. Remove from heat, add orange peel and nuts
3. Stir until the syrup looks cloudy
4. Drop spoonfuls onto waxed paper

Mix ingredients in this order:

• 2 cups ground nuts
• 1-cup brown sugar
• 2 egg whites, unbeaten
• 1 tsp vanilla

Drop teaspoons of mixture onto greased pan. Heat oven to 400 degrees, place Nut Chews in oven, turn off oven and let Nut Chews bake until oven is cool.

Ways to Grind Nuts

• Blender or food processor-be careful not to over chop or the oil in the nuts will turn the mixture to a paste
• Put nuts in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin
