Healthy black bean salsa for New Year’s resolution weight loss (Video)

Chips and salsa are a favorite snack of many, but with the New Year here, many are avoiding anything that threatens their newfound diet. To not betray their New Year’s resolution of a healthy diet, many pick up new recipes.

Below is a healthy black bean salsa recipe that should do the trick for those of you that don’t want to completely leave this delicious snack behind. Note that you can add or remove ingredients to this salsa according to your preferences.

What you will need:

  • 1 avocado
  • Chopped cilantro
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can kernel corn
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • Salt

Directions:

Peel avocado, dice it and set it aside on a plate. Dice the tomatoes and onions and set aside also. In a large bowl, mix the black beans and corn well. Add the lime juice and previously diced ingredients. Taste and add salt accordingly. Serve with chips of your choice and enjoy!
