Healthcare Insurance Companies Buy Republicans

House Republicans are taking aim at healthcare reform with both barrells loaded. The GOP's goal is to pass a bill to repeal healthcare reform legislation that was passed last year.

The healthcare reform currently in place mandates various protections to American consumers regarding insurance company’s unethical practices that have been literally killing people in the name of profit.

Among the protections offered, the insurance companies can no longer deny services just because you become ill. And seniors will no longer be forced to choose between paying for groceries or paying for their medications. Healthcare reform prevents these atrocities and more.

The Republicans want to throw your new healthcare rights out the door as soon as possible. Do they have an alternative plan? No, they do not. So why are Republicans adamant about repealing healthcare reform, your right to healthcare without the insurance companies thug-like behaviors?

Follow the money trail of lobbying, also called special interest money. These political representatives are bought and paid for to defend the interest of the insurance companies.

“In 2007 and 2008, the insurance industry contributed a record $46.7 million to federal parties and candidates.”

The top 3 healthcare lobbying companies 2010:
1) Blue Cross Blue Shield $9,354,812
2) America’s Health Insurance Plans $7,320,000
3) Prudential $7,040,000

If healthcare reform is repealed, average joes like you and me will once again be left to pony up to the corporation. And if it kills you, according to them, so what? Maximizing profit is their bottom line, obviously they don't care if you live or die.

The Republicans are violating their first 2 principles in working to repeal the Health Care Reform Act. They said they would allow amendments to all bills and they would find a way to pay for anything that would raise the national debt.

But they're refusing to allow amendments to the bill and passage of health care repeal will add $150 billion to the national debt.

Everything they do proves they are working for the insurance companies, not the American people.
