On March 17th and 18th, the Center for Design and Health hosts the Healthy Environments, Healing Spaces conference. This conference includes a keynote lecture from Dr. Ann Forsyth, Professor of Urban Planning at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, who holds this spring's Harry W. Porter, Jr. Visiting Professorship. Speakers from UVa and around the country present the latest research on designing medical facilities that promote healing, creating a more healthful food system, emphasizing the benefits of nature for health, designing for aging populations, and creating environments that promote physical activity.
