Healing: Is it medicine or Higher Power?

See also

Scientists will often explain healing using scientific terms and by advancing the cause of medicine. But sometimes a healing simply cannot be attributed to any factor known to man. The Christian Bible is chalk full of healings that is said to be by God’s hand and His alone. Perhaps you know of such a case.

Here are some scriptures with promise: Psalm 30:2 “O Lord my God, I cried to you and you healed me.” Psalm 107:20 “He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.” And there are just two among many.

Scripture goes even further and records instances where people were not only healed but were raised from the dead. Jairus’ daughter for example in Matthew 9:18-19, 23-25 KJV) where Jairus had declared to Jesus, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live.” The girl did rise up from her death bed after a healing touch from Jesus.

By meditating on healing from the many scripture available, there is strength, hope, and health that is beyond science. However, it is my belief that doctors and medication lead to wholeness and health as well. See the doctor and take the prescribed medication. Pray before, during, and after any consultation. Appropriately, there are studies being conducted constantly on the effectiveness of prayer.

By thinking beyond the finite realm of possibilities, your healing could very well be at hand.
