Ever wonder what your dog is saying? Well, knowing might not be far off. A device called No More Woof is in the making. This headset is said to translate a dog’s thoughts into words. The creators, a Scandinavian group called NSID (Nordic Society for Invention and Discovery), are currently raising funds for research. They have currently raised $2,000 which is far from their goal of $10,000.
The group has had some success according to PC Magazine. While the product isn’t ready for sale, they are accepting pre-orders; however, this doesn’t mean you will receive a no more woof. Any money the group raises will fund their research. If their research turns out to be a bust, they do not have to return the money of those who pre-order.
According to the No More Woof website, the headset will work by recording EEGs. While their site includes a video discussing the new gadget, they do not demonstrate how works despite several dogs wearing the headset.
According to PC Magazine, $65 is enough to pre-order a headset with one sensor that can distinguish three different thought patterns. Three hundred dollars is enough to pre-order a headset with two sensors. PC Magazine says this headset with be able to distinguish four or more thought patterns.
