On the heels of their newly released studio album Blue Ruin, Colorado newgrass quartet Head for the Hills embarks on their 2013 Fall Tour. The dates take them through Colorado, the Midwest, Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival, the Mountain West and Pacific Northwest.
The group's Fall outing follows a busy summer, which included stops at many premier music festivals: RockyGrass, Northwest String Summit, DEL YEAH and many more.
The band released their third studio album Blue Ruin on July 9th and features guest performances from Andy Hall (The Infamous Stringdusters), Gabriel Mervine (The Motet) and more. The album has charted in the CMJ Top 200 and the band was featured by CMT - Edge mentioning: "Head for the Hills’ Blue Ruin effortlessly matches integrity against innovation."
Head for the Hills contributed a track to the recently announced compilation, River’s Rising Front Range Flood Relief to benefit the damage caused by the flooding in Colorado. Artists include: Furthur, Widespread Panic, Devotchka, String Cheese Incident, Bruce Hornsby, Umphrey's McGee and many more.
