The Chase for the Sprint Cup is down to the final three races, and Race No. 8 is the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, taking place this weekend, Thursday through Sunday, October 31st through November 3rd. Also on the schedule for the weekend: the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series.
Gates open at 4 p.m. CT on Thursday, with Truck Series practice from 5 to 6 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. CT. On Friday, gates open at 11 a.m. CT, with Cup Series practice at 11:30 a.m. CT and Nationwide Series practice at 1:05 p.m. CT, followed by Truck Series qualifying at 2:10 p.m. CT and Cup Series qualifying at 3:40 p.m. CT; the WinStar World Casino 350K for the Truck Series takes the green flag at 7:30 p.m. CT. On Saturday, gates open at 9 a.m. CT, with Cup Series practice at 10 a.m. CT, followed by Nationwide Series qualifying at 11:05 a.m. CT and the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at 2:30 p.m. CT. On Sunday, gates open at 10 a.m. CT, with the AAA Texas 500 going green at 2 p.m. CT.
