The NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship visits Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois – near St. Louis, Missouri – for the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals, taking place Friday through Sunday, September 27th through 29th. The second-annual race is the third event on the Countdown schedule and will feature all four NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series categories – Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle – plus the NHRA Pro Mod Series and the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.

The event will feature a driver autograph session, car show, interactive displays, food, music and ticket giveaways. (Note: there is also a Thursday Night Football game in St. Louis that evening.)
