It’s time for the last race before the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins, and that race is the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night, September 6th. Also on the schedule for the weekend is the Nationwide Series Virginia 529 College Savings 250 on Friday night, September 5th.
Fans are invited to celebrate the Chase following the Federated Auto Parts 400 with the Post-Race Party on the Track after the checkered flag flies. A DJ will spin party tunes while fans wait for the introduction of the 16 Chase drivers. All fans in attendance are welcome to stick around after the race.
Fans can check out the Midway throughout the weekend, featuring the Toyota PitPass, , the Miller Lite Party Zone Experience, Chevrolet, Ford, Coca Cola and more – find out about it here.
Gates open Friday at 9 a.m. ET, with Cup Series practice at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET and Nationwide Series qualifying at 3:40 p.m. ET. The Cup Series qualifies at 5:40 p.m. ET, followed by the Nationwide Series Virginia 529 College Savings 250 race, taking the green flag at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Gates open Saturday at 2 p.m. ET, with the Federated Auto Parts 400 taking the green at 7:30 p.m. ET.
