The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series heads to Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park (formerly Firebird International Raceway) in Chandler, Arizona for the second race of the season, the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals, taking place Friday through Sunday, February 21st through 23rd. Three of the Mello Yello Series four categories – Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock – will be back in action near Phoenix, as is the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
Sportsman qualifying for the weekend begins Friday, February 21st at 8 a.m. MT, with pro qualifying sessions at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. MT. Sportsman eliminations begin Saturday, February 22nd at 8 a.m. MT, with pro qualifying continuing at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. MT. Final eliminations begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, February 23rd.
Tickets are for the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals are now available at www.nhratix.com. Full event passes, start at $99 in advance for adults; children 12 and under are free in general admission areas. Friday admission starts at $33 for adults in advance, Saturday admission at $46 and Sunday admission at $48.
