The second race in the 2013 Chase for the Sprint Cup is the Sylvania 300, taking place this weekend, Friday through Sunday, September 20th through 22nd, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire. The race weekend also features the K&N Pro Series East, the Whelen Modified Tour, the American-Canadian Tour (ACT), and Bandolero and Legends racing action.
On Thursday, September 19th, FanFest begins at 6 p.m. ET with the NASCAR Hauler Parade. Chase participant Clint Bowyer will have a question-and-answer session with fans at 7 p.m. ET, and the evening ends with a concert from Chelsea Bain at 9 p.m. ET. FanFest is free and is located in the S2 Display Lot outside the track’s infield tunnel.
Friday’s on-track action kicks off at 8:30 a.m. ET with K&N Pro Series East practice, followed by Whelen Modified Tour practice at 10:10 a.m. ET and Sprint Cup Series practice at noon ET. Qualifying for all three series follows: K&N Pro Series East at 2 p.m. ET, Sprint Cup Series at 3:40 p.m. ET and the Whelen Modified Tour at 5 p.m. ET
On Saturday, ACT practice is on track at 8 a.m. ET, followed by two more rounds of Cup Series practice at 9:15 and 11 a.m. ET. Feature action in the afternoon begins with the Whelen Modified Tour F.W. Webb 100 at 12:15 p.m. ET, followed by the K&N Pro Series East North American Power 100 at 2:30 p.m. ET and the ACT Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational at 4:30 p.m. ET. The action concludes with the Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream 25 for the Granite State Legends Cars and Bandolero Series at 5:45 p.m. ET.
Sunday’s Sylvania 300 for the Cup Series goes green at 2 p.m. ET.
