The Chase for the Sprint Cup is winding down, and this weekend heads to Virginia’s Martinsville Speedway for the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 Powered by Kroger on Sunday, October 27th. The Sprint Cup stars are joined by the Camping World Truck Series, racing in the Kroger 200 on Saturday, October 26th.
New at Martinsville Speedway is the Party Plaza, a pre-race hospitality package featuring pre-race entertainment, games, driver appearances, track walk opportunities and more. Drivers scheduled to appear at the Party Plaza for a question-and-answer session include Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Newman. Guitarist Gary Hoey will perform, and a DJ will also be in the Plaza. Tickets are $49 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under.
Gates open daily at 9 a.m. ET. On Friday, October 25th, practice for the Truck Series hits the track at 9 and 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by Cup Series practice at noon ET; qualifying for the Cup Series race takes place at 3:40 p.m. ET, followed by Truck Series qualifying at 5 p.m. ET. Two Cup Series practices hit the track on Saturday, October 26th at 10:30 a.m. and noon ET, followed by the green flag for the Kroger 200 at 5 p.m. ET. On Sunday, October 27th, the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 Powered by Kroger goes green at 1:30 p.m. ET.
