Kansas Speedway is the home of the fourth race in the 2013 Chase for the Sprint Cup – the Hollywood Casino 400 race weekend takes place this weekend, Friday through Sunday, October 4th through 6th, and also features the Nationwide Series and the ARCA Racing Series.
On Thursday, October 3rd, many stars of the Sprint Cup Series will be testing at the speedway from noon to 4 p.m. CT – admission to the public test is $10.
There will be two concerts at the speedway this weekend. After Friday night’s ARCA race, Sevendust will perform in the Turn One area south of the grandstands – the concert is included with Friday’s $9.89 ticket. Everclear will perform a pre-race concert on the infield tri-oval on Sunday at 11:20 a.m. CT– the concert is included with Sunday admission.
On Friday, ARCA Racing Series practice kicks off on track action at 9 a.m. CT, followed by Cup Series practice at 11:30 a.m. CT. The Nationwide Series has two afternoon practices scheduled for 1:10 and 2:40 p.m. CT, followed by Sprint Cup Series qualifying at 4:10 p.m. CT. The ARCA drivers qualify for their Friday night race at 5:35 p.m. CT, followed by the green flag for the Kansas Lottery 98.9 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
On Saturday, the Cup Series practices at 10 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. CT, with Nationwide Series qualifying sandwiched in between sessions at 11:05 a.m. CT. The Nationwide Series Kansas Lottery 300 goes green at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Sunday’s Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 goes green at 1 p.m. CT.
