NASCAR’s Nationwide Series visits Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa for the 2014 Wide Opening Weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 16th through 18th. Joining the Nationwide Series this weekend are the K&N Pro Series East and West in a combination race.
Following Saturday’s K&N Pro Series race, country duo Montgomery Gentry take to the stage for a post-race concert; admission is included with the race ticket.
On Friday, gates open at 9 a.m. CT for three Nationwide Series practice sessions at 9 a.m., 1 and 3:30 p.m. CT.
On Saturday, gates open at 9:30 a.m. CT, with K&N Pro Series practice at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. CT and Nationwide Series practice at 11:30 a.m. CT. The K&N Pro Series drivers qualify at 4:35 p.m. CT, followed by Nationwide Series qualifying at 6:10 p.m. CT. The K&N Pro Series Casey’s General Stores 150 goes green at 8 p.m. CT.
On Sunday, gates open at 9 a.m. CT, with the Get To Know Newton 250 presented by Sherwin Williams going green at 1 p.m. CT.
Tickets are still available for the weekend at Iowa Speedway – individual passes for Saturday and Sunday start at $20, while two-day passes are available for $30 to $85. Visit www.iowaspeedway.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
