NASCAR visits Indy this weekend

The 21st running of the Crown Royal 400 at the Brickyard highlights this weekend’s Super Weekend at the Brickyard, with events on both the famed oval and road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Thursday through Sunday, July 24th through 27th. NASCAR’s Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series are joined by the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

On Thursday, July 24th, gates open at 8 a.m. ET, with practice on the road course for the Continental Tire Challenge and TUDOR Challenge Series beginning at 9 a.m. ET and concluding at 1:45 p.m. ET. Qualifying for the two sports car series runs from 3 to 5:20 p.m. ET. The off-track action moves to Main St. in Speedway, Indiana, with the annual Hauler Parade beginning at 5 p.m. ET. On Friday, July 25th, gates open at 8 a.m. ET, with wristband distribution for Friday autograph sessions taking place at the same time (sessions are at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.). The Nationwide Series practices at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. ET, while the Cup Series practices at 11:35 a.m. ET. At 11:45 a.m. ET, there will be an IMSA autograph session on Hulman Blvd., followed by the Continental Tire Challenge race at 2:35 p.m. ET and the Brickyard Grand Prix TUDOR Challenge race at 5:45 p.m. ET.

On Saturday, July 26th, gates open at 7 a.m. ET, with wristbands for the Nationwide Series autograph session being handed out at 8 a.m. ET. Cup Series practice takes place at 9 a.m. ET, with the Nationwide Series autograph session in Pagoda Plaza at 10 a.m. ET. Nationwide Series qualifying takes place at 12:10 p.m. ET, followed by Cup Series qualifying at 2:10 p.m. ET. The Nationwide Series Lilly Diabetes 250 goes green at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Following Nationwide Series action on Saturday, the Brickfest Music Festival will feature performances by Justin Moore and The Band Perry. The festival continues on Sunday prior to the Sprint Cup Series race with performances headlined by Brantley Gilbert. Find out more about the festival here.

On Sunday, July 27th, gates open at 6 a.m. ET. The Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 at the Brickyard Powered by goes green at 1:22 p.m. ET.
