The inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis is in the record books, the racing action is hardly ending at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where practice and qualifying for the Indy 500 lead up to the 98th running of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” on Sunday, May 25th.
Practice for the Indy 500 kicked off Sunday and Monday, May 11th and 12th, and continues Tuesday through Friday, May 13th through 16th from noon to 6 p.m. ET each day. Tickets for practice sessions are $15 each day.
Saturday and Sunday, May 17th and 18th are two of the fastest days on the Verizon IndyCar Series schedule – qualifying for the Indianapolis 500. Saturday kicks off with practice from 8 to 11 a.m. ET, with qualifying beginning at 11 a.m. ET; Saturday’s qualifying sessions will determine which group drivers are in on Sunday. On Sunday, drivers have a chance to practice from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. ET, with two qualifying sessions during the day: at 10:15 a.m. ET for positions 10 through 33 and at 2 p.m. ET for the Firestone Fast 9. Tickets for qualifying sessions at $20 each day.
