The Verizon IndyCar Series double-header at Houston’s Reliant Park moves from October to June for 2014, as the Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston will take place Friday through Sunday, June 27th through 29th. The “three-day festival of speed” will feature 11 races, including the second double-header of the IndyCar Series’ season.

The two IndyCar Series races will headline the Grand Prix of Houston on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will also feature a celebrity go-kart race, two Spec Racer Ford events, two Mx-5 Cup races, two Pro Mazda races and Vintage Open Wheel and Sedan races.

Off the track, there’s plenty going on as well. Bring the kids to the Family Fun Zone and check out go-kart racing from MSR Houston. The second annual Yellow Party Houston will also take place Thursday, June 26th from 7 to 10 p.m. CT at AutoNation Mercedes-Benz of Houston Greenway, 3900 Southwest Fwy. in Houston. The event benefits the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Racing for Cancer. Find out more here.
