NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series heads back out west to Fontana, California for the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway Friday through Sunday, March 22nd through 24th. They’re joined on the schedule by the stars of the Nationwide Series, who will compete in the Royal Purple 300 on Saturday.
The festivities get underway away from the track on Thursday, March 21st with the NASCAR Hauler Parade, getting started at 6 p.m. PT at Citizens Business Bank Arena, 4000 E. Ontario Center Pkwy. in Ontario, CA. For a look at the parade route, click here. NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart will make an appearance at the NASCAR Hauler Parade Festival at the Bass Pro Shops located at 7777 Victoria Gardens Ln. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, which is along the parade route. Several merchandise haulers including Danica Patrick, Junior Nation, Tony Stewart, NASCAR and Auto Club Speedway will also be on site.
On track on Friday, the Cup Series practices at 11:30 a.m. PT, followed by Nationwide Series final practice at 1:40 p.m. PT. Sprint Cup Series qualifying gets underway at 4:10 p.m. PT. Saturday finds the Cup Series on track for two practices (9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. PT), while Nationwide Series qualifying for the Royal Purple 300 gets underway at 10:35 a.m. PT. The race goes green at 2:00 p.m. PT. Sunday’s action begins with a concert from 80s band RATT on the FanZone Stage at 10 a.m. PT, while the Auto Club 400 takes the green flag at noon PT.
