The 35th annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway near Denver, Colorado kick off the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series’ annual Western Swing this week, Friday through Sunday, July 18th through 20th. The event features all four of the NHRA’s top-tier categories: Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle – as well as the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
Saturday, July 19th ticket holders will be able to participate in the special “Go Red for Women Track Walk” prior to racing action to bring awareness to heart disease. The Track Walk gives fans the chance to walk the same track where their favorite drivers’ race and they will be joined by some of the NHRA’s top drivers.
On Friday, July 18th, on-track action kicks off with Sportsman qualifying at 11 a.m. MT; pro qualifying sessions begin at 4:45 and 7:15 p.m. MT. On Saturday, July 19th, Sportsman eliminations begin at 11 a.m. MT, followed by the final two pro qualifying sessions at 3:15 and 5:45 p.m. MT. Eliminations get underway Sunday, July 20th at 11 a.m. MT.
Tickets are currently on sale for the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals, with full event passes starting at $115 for adults. Daily passes are also available – Friday tickets start at $45 for adults, Saturday tickets start at $43 and Sunday tickets start at $51; youth ticket pricing is also available.
