Heading to Daytona for Speedweeks? Check this out (part 1)

The NASCAR racing season gets underway on Saturday, February 16th at Daytona International Speedway with the running of the Sprint Unlimited (formerly the Budweiser Shootout). Preceding the race is the ARCA Racing Series Lucas Oil 200. Here’s a look at some of the other events on the schedule for the first few days of Speedweeks.

Thursday, February 14th

  • Sprint FANZONE opens at 11 a.m. ET
  • Grandstands open at 1 p.m. ET
  • ARCA practice – 1 to 5 p.m. ET

Friday, February 15th –

  • Sprint FANZONE opens at 9 a.m. Et
  • Grandstands open at 2 p.m. ET
  • ARCA qualifying – 2 p.m. ET
  • Sprint Cup Series practice – 5 to 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. ET

Saturday, February 16th –

  • Sprint FANZONE opens at 9 a.m. ET
  • Grandstands open at 10 a.m. ET
  • ARCA practice – 10 to 10:45 a.m. ET
  • Sprint Cup practice – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3:45 p.m. ET
  • ARCA Lucas Oil 200 – green flag at 4:30 p.m. ET
  • The Sprint Unlimited – green flag at 8:10 p.m. ET

Sunday, February 17th –

  • Sprint FANZONE opens at 7 a.m. ET
  • Grandstands open at noon ET
  • Daytona 500 qualifying – 1:05 p.m. ET
