The Nationwide Series visits Chicagoland this weekend

NASCAR’s Nationwide Series and the ARCA Racing Series join forces this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois, home of the 300 for the Nationwide Series. On-track action takes place Friday and Saturday, July 18th and 19th.

Friday’s on-track action is free for Chicagoland Speedway season ticket holders, campers and ticket holders for Saturday’s activities. In addition to practice for both series, fans can check out the Switchfoot and Collective Soul concert beginning at 8 p.m. CT.

Grandstands open at 2 p.m. CT on Friday, with Nationwide Series practice sessions at 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. CT; the ARCA Series practices at 3:30 p.m. CT.

Gates open Saturday at 11 a.m. CT, with ARCA Series qualifying at 1:30 p.m. CT and Nationwide Series qualifying at 3:10 p.m. CT. The ARCA Racing Series Ansell ActivArmr 150 goes green at 5 p.m. CT, followed by the Nationwide Series 300 at 7:30 p.m. CT. Also on Saturday, fans can check out the Chicagoland Speedway Car show from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT.
