The sixth annual Carlyle Tools NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by NAPA Auto Parts is the first race of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series’ Countdown to the Championship. The event takes place at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, using only two of the track’s four drag strips, Friday through Sunday, September 13th through 15th and features all four of the Mello Yello Series categories – Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. The weekend will also feature the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and the NHRA Pro Mod Series.
On-track activities for the Mello Yello Series get underway Friday at 4:15 and 6:45 p.m. ET with the first two qualifying sessions of the event. Pro qualifying concludes on Saturday with sessions at 12:15 and 2:30 p.m. ET. Final eliminations get underway Sunday at noon ET.
The Top Eliminator Club three-day package for the NHRA Carolina Nationals is $290 for adults, $257 for children 13 and under – it includes two meals each day and a drink ticket, plus driver appearances, free VIP Parking and other goodies. Three-day passes start at $99, and single day passes are also available – Friday tickets start at $25, and Saturday and Sunday tickets start at $40; other ticket specials are available as well.
