The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series hosts one of the most unique events in motorsports: the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, held at the “Bellagio of drag strips,” zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, Friday through Sunday, April 11th through 13th. All four Mello Yello Series categories – Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle – will be in action at the strip this weekend.
New this weekend at zMAX Dragway: Fiesta Latina, an inaugural event highlighting the diversity of the NHRA. The event will feature musical entertainment, arts and crafts vendors and appearances from NHRA drivers. The Fiesta Latina takes place Saturday, April 12th from noon to 5 p.m. ET in the pavilion to the left of the main entrance and is free to all Saturday ticket holders.
On-track action kicks off Friday with Sportsman qualifying at 8 a.m. ET; pro qualifying sessions will be on track at 1:15 and 4:15 p.m. ET. Sportsman qualifying continues Saturday morning at 8 a.m. ET, with two more pro qualifying sessions at 1:15 and 4:15 p.m. ET. Eliminations begin Sunday at noon ET.
Tickets are still available for the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals – three-day passes range in price from $99 to $139, and kids 13 and under are admitted free with an adult. Daily passes are also available: Friday passes range in price from $20 to $35, Saturday passes from $40 to $55 and Sunday tickets ranging from $40 to $55.
