Charlotte Motor Speedway hosts 10 days of racing that kicked off on Thursday, May 15th, culminating with the running of the Coca Cola 600 on Sunday, May 25th. Fans have already seen the Camping World Truck Series and the Sprint All-Star Race this past weekend – here’s what you can expect as the racing wraps up on Memorial Day weekend.
Thursday, May 22nd – Gate 5A opens at 9 a.m. ET, with the Sprint Cup Series practicing at 2:30 p.m. ET and the Nationwide Series practicing at 4 and 5:30 p.m. ET. Cup Series qualifying for the Coca Cola 600 begins at 7:10 p.m. ET.
Friday, May 23rd – at CMS on Friday, gates open at 2:30 p.m. ET for the Coca Cola Family Track Walk with Danica Patrick, Tony Stewart, Elliott Sadler and Darrell Wallace Jr. The action then shifts to The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway for World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series action – gates open at 4 p.m. ET, with hot laps at 6 p.m. ET and opening ceremonies at 7:05 p.m. ET.
Saturday, May 24th – gates open for Cup Series practice at 9:30 a.m. ET, followed by Nationwide Series qualifying at 10:40 a.m. ET and final Cup Series practice at 1 p.m. ET. The Nationwide Series History 300 goes green at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Sunday, May 25th – gates open at 12:30 p.m. ET; the Brantley Gilbert concert begins at 4 p.m. ET, followed by the green flag for the Coca Cola 600 at 6 p.m. ET.
Tickets for LiftMaster Pole Day on Thursday are $12 in advance, and tickets for Friday’s action at The Dirt Track are $25 for adults and $10 for kids 13 and under.
