Now its time to move cross continent from the once French colonized Algeria to the small country of Andorra located between northern Spain and southern France. Sandwiched up in the Pyrenees mountains, Andorra's land mass is only 181 square miles and the capitol city of Andorra la Vella has a population of about 20,000. Due to the geographical location in the mountains the countries main source of economy is based on general tourism as well as tourism for winter sports. Being bordered by France and Spain, Andorra's official language is Catalan which has influences from both the French and Spanish languages.The cuisine reflects the geographical location of the country by being home to dishes with French, Spanish and even Portugese culinary styles.Meals revolve around meats including wild game and hearty stew dishes. Andorra may be small in mass but remains to be a high point of cultural and culinary interest.
Here is what the Andorra menu will look like for the upcoming weekend:
* Mulled cremat wine
* Sauteed spinach with raisins and pine nuts
* Cunillo ( a warm rabbit stew)
* Brac de Gitano ( an apricot cream cake roll)
