Authorities suspect alcohol may be the cause of a head-on accident that occurred on 794 early Thursday morning. The Milwaukee County Sheriff and Fire Departments was called to the scene of the accident, which occurred on the Hoan Bridge at about 1:30 a.m. A 30-year old woman was driving the wrong direction on the northbound lanes, and hit another car driven by a 55-year old man.

Firefighters pulled both people from their cars, who were then taken to the hospital. Both were "seriously hurt" in the crash, according to WISN. A sheriff's deputy smelled alcohol on the woman's breath and she was arrested on operating while intoxicated (OWI) charges, including felony injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. The bridge was closed for two hours while crews cleaned up the accident.
