Head for the Hills is headed for Des Moines (Photos)

Head for the Hills will bring their bluegrass show to Des Moines on Wednesday, February 20 for a concert at Vaudeville Mews (212 Fourth Street). Doors at the Mews will open at 8:30 p.m., and the music will start at 9 p.m. Tickets for the concerts are $10, and they may be purchased online through Ticketfly or at the door. This show will be a 21-and-over event, and there is currently no opening band scheduled to perform.

Fort Collins, Colorado natives Head for the Hills organic Newgrass sound and precision musicianship have earned the band a nationwide following. 2012 saw the band earn spots on the stages of Wakarusa, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and South by Southwest, while also being named Colorado's "Best Bluegrass" for the third consecutive year. 2012 also saw the quartet release their first live album, Head for the HillsLive.
