He's back! Tony Gonzalez returns to Falcons for 2013 season.

If the Falcons were wondering who would be replacing their tight end Tony Gonzalez for the 2013 season, their problem just solved itself.

Gonzalez stated at the beginning of the 2012 season that he was about 95 percent sure this would be his last season. After all, what else did he need to prove? He was already the all-time NFL leader in nearly every meaningful statistic for a tight end including four 1,000-yard seasons, career receptions (1,242), receiving yards (14,268), TD catches (103) and 100-yard games (103).

But there were technically two things that eluded Gonzalez during his career: the second was to win a Super Bowl. The first one was to just win one playoff game.

With their victory over the Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Round, Tony could scratch number one off his list. Unfortunately, Atlanta couldn't get past the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, leaving fans wondering if the loss to San Francisco would in fact be Tony's last game.

"I have to say also I was pretty overwhelmed by the fans and how much they reached out to me," Gonzalez said about the fans after the loss to San Francisco. "It was really something. They sent me all these videos, posts on Twitter, Facebook, things like that — a bunch of different messages hoping I would return. Really makes you put things in perspective."

Fortunately for the Falcons (as well as fans of the game in general) Gonzalez has decided to don the red and black for one more season. And if you're wondering, Tony makes it perfectly clear why he is returning again.

"I am coming back for one reason and one reason only, the chance to win a Super Bowl."

On behalf of everyone in Falcons Nation, we wish you all the best in the upcoming season Tony.
