Whether you've tuned into HBO's Treme for the drama or the NOLA setting and themes one thing is certain - you can't help but come away with the music. So then who better to host a benefit concert in New Orleans?
This Saturday, My Lil' Darlin' All Star Review concert will pay tribute to some of New Orleans greatest musical legends. Featuring Paul Sanchez and the Rolling Road Show, Little Freddy King, Guitar Lightenin' Lee, Robert Parker, The Pfister Sisters, Clarence "Frogman" Henry, and more. There will also be extra special appearances by Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew.
Proceeds from the event will go to The Roots of Music and Tipitina's Foundation, both wonderful programs. The Roots of Music provides local youth with an escape from violence and instability while enriching their lives with music education and instruction, tutoring, transportation, and meals. Tipitina's Foundation provides support to preserve Louisiana's musical culture through childhood music education and professional development of adult musicians.
It's all happening on Saturday, January 12 at Tipitina's. Doors open at 7 P.M. and show time is at 8 for this 18+ show. Come out to hear some amazing music while enriching your own life - and doing the same for others at the same time. This is one show you do not want to miss.
