The rumors that Emmy voters gave HBO's Game of Thrones 19 Emmy nominations because they did not wish to be on George. R.R. Martin's bad side are unsubstantiated.

Nevertheless the popular HBO series topped the list of Emmy nominations.

In another impressive list, Netflix garnered 13 nominations including best series nominations for House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.

Seth Meyers will host the Emmys on August 25. They will take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast on NBC.
