The series premiered in April of 2014 and began its fourth and final season aired from Dec. 1-Dec. 29 with only five episodes airing.
The show centers around New Orleans after Katrina hit in 2005 and is set in a neighborhood in New Orleans, Treme'. It tells the story of how the city rebuilds itself after the hurricane and focuses on the musicians, chefs, and Mardi Gras Indians.
The final season took place from November 2008 through Mardi Gras 2009 and looks at the promise of economic and cultural recovery as well as the election of a new president. But, with all the hope, there is still hard economic times, continued police corruption, and massive violence and crime. It ends with the city still trying to building up the strength of one of the most popular cities of America.
The DVD is available now for pre-order and will be released on January 28.
