Mark your calendars because winter is coming early!

HBO announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association press tour that season four of Game of Thrones will officially premiere April 6 at 9 p.m.

Fans can take a deep breath and start counting the days for the much anticipated season which will pick up right where it left off.

Season four of the fantasy medieval drama will primarily finish George R.R. Martin’s adaptation of A Storm of Swords, which took much of season three.

HBO also revealed that they will debut the full season four trailer on Jan. 12 before the premiere of their new crime drama True Detective starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

In addition, it was also announced during the panel that Boardwalk Empire will end after its fifth season.

Game of Thrones will share their night with the third season premiere of Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, new comedy Silicon Valley, and news magazine show Vice.
