A powerful storm from the Midwest is moving into the Great Lakes today. The precipitation is currently falling as snow but should transition to freezing drizzle this morning. The Grand Rapids National Weather Service has expanded the Winter Weather Advisory for snow and freezing drizzle to include all of West Michigan until 1 PM Friday. Snowfall amounts will range from 1-3 inches. A strong wind will reduce visibilities adding to the travel problems this morning.
See the slideshow on the left for a few forecast weather maps for the storm.
