Another one of the many disturbances dropping out of Canada will bring West Michigan more snow, wind and wicked wind chill readings. The Grand Rapids National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow for the lakeshore counties and a Winter Weather Advisory for the inland counties from 9 PM Wednesday until 3 PM Thursday. Total snowfall of 1 to 4 inches will likely fall from this storm. Higher accumulations are possible near the lakeshore. The bigger story will be the wind, with gusts of 30-40 mph causing blowing and drifting of the show especially near Lake Michigan. Travel will become hazardous for Wednesday evening and Thursday. The wind will also plunge the wind chill readings down to 15 to 20 degrees below zero for both Thursday and Friday morning. The wind will likely be the strongest on Thursday morning with gusts over 30mph near the lakeshore and in the mid 20s inland.
