A strong wind from the south ahead of an approaching cold front will create high waves and dangerous currents on Lake Michigan today.
The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk for severe weather to the west of Michigan for today to our south on Monday. While widespread severe weather is not expected a few isolated severe storms are possible. Damaging wind and large hail would be the primary threat. Frequently lightning and heavy downpours are also possible.
Temperatures remain seasonable with lows in the upper 60s and highs in the low 80s inland and slightly cooler at the lakeshore.
See the attached slideshow for more on the waves and storms.
