A very cool weekend in Hayti, MO welcomed the annual Fall Festival on the square and the “Zombie Walk” as part of Hayti’s Haunted weekend.
Mayor Bobby Watkins says the events, sponsored by the Hayti Chamber of Commerce, were a “big success” this year. Around 50 booths set up on the square Saturday and chili cookers plied the judges with their tasty concoctions.
“We also had the Hayti House of Horrors this year,” Mayor Watkins said, “It has been a huge success thanks to many volunteers. We had the Haunted Hayride and had to add an extra trip it was so successful. It is always great to see the community come together.”
The weekend included the chili cook-off, costume contests, zombie walk and contests, the haunted hay ride and the House of Horrors. “We hope it continues to grow bigger and better every year,” Mayor Watkins said, “We have just had an excellent turn out and a good time for the families
