Haystack is a revolutionary new parking app created by Eric Meyer, a resident of Canton. The advent of the Haystack App is intended to ease parking problems in the City of Baltimore by facilitating the easy and efficient exchange of parking spots. This creative use of state-of-the-art technology will improve the quality of life for residents as well as make a positive impact on the environment by reducing exhaust emissions.

Shrouded in secrecy until its unveiling at the company's launch event on May 27, Haystack was welcomed to Baltimore by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and hundreds of Baltimore residents. Haystack is a mobile app that provides access to a smart parking system that 'Allows neighbors to alert each other to open parking spaces in real time, reducing the amount of time wasted circling the neighborhood and reducing emissions from those cars entering our environment.' We've all endured the tiresome and time consuming search for a parking space on the busy streets of Baltimore. Haystack could change all that by allowing real time communication between drivers who are about to relinquish their parking space and those in search of a space.

Features of Haystack include:
First of all, the Haystack App is a free download from iTunes and Google Play. Drivers in need of a space are seamlessly matched with nearby neighbors and are able to secure their parking spots.

Offer Your Spots for Cash: Using the Haystack App on your phone, you can offer any street space at the touch of a button before you head out and be matched with nearby Haystackers. Offer your parking space when you're paying a bill at a restaurant or about to leave your home. The Haystack parking system will match you with a nearby Haystacker and you may view their progress in real-time. You will enjoy seamless cashless transactions through your phone.

Find the Perfect Spot: Not all parking spots are created equal. Haystack will help you find a street space within minutes that fits your car for about $3. Anonymously contact your fellow Haystacker if you have any problems.

Help Your Neighbors & Reduce City Emissions: The Haystack App allows neighbors to help each other to save time in the search for a parking space and reduce the endless circling of cars and resulting emissions that foul the air.

Simplify Parking Together: 'For far too long, we've circled the block every night, burning fuel, wasting time and destroying our harbor,' said Eric Meyer, Founder of Haystack and local Canton resident. 'Haystack empowers neighbors to solve parking together, it's the world's most sophisticated parking technology, and we are proud that it was created right here in Baltimore.'
