Salma Hayek's brother crashed his car on Sunset Blvd. in an accident that killed his passenger. According to CNN on Feb. 24, 40-year old Sami Hayek was driving east on Sunset Boulevard in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles.
It was during this drive on Sunday in the late afternoon that law enforcement said Sami "lost control and crossed into the westbound lanes"of the boulevard that is known for its twists and turns.
After the change of lanes, Hayek's vehicle, a 2006 Ford GT, met a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Truck head on. The driver of the truck, 20-year-old Alvin Gomez of Los Angeles, ended up with a broken foot while Hayek suffers broken rib and was cut in the head. Both were taken for treatment at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood.
