In an age where technology keeps changing and improving, two Atlanta professional sports franchises aren't going to be left behind.
The Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Thrashers are upgrading the technology on their radio broadcasts.
Atlanta’s professional basketball and hockey teams announced a new multi-year partnership with Skyview Networks to serve as their official radio network provider. The Arizona based company will provide satellite distribution for radio, satellite receivers and live-read management service to the Hawks and Thrashers radio networks.
The Skyview radio distribution network will allow the Hawks and Thrashers to build their brands to an expanded audience.
This includes deploying next-generation smart receivers across the Hawks’ and Thrashers’ radio networks. The new technology allows the teams to offer "ad-regionalization," multiple versions of the same spot simultaneously, to advertising clients.
Skyview provides broadcast services for more than 40 professional and college sports teams.
"We are pleased to expand our presence in Atlanta with premiere teams like the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Thrashers," said Ken Thiele, president of Skyview Networks. "I am confident our systems will provide the reliability and flexibility that play-by-play broadcast requires, and the added value of ad-regionalization that advertisers seek."
