Los Angeles -- Edgar Sosa holds a victory over Brian Viloria and the Hawaiian Punch is looking for revenge.
A few weeks back Viloria returned to his homeland of Hawaii to defeat Jesus Iribe and had been stalking a big time flyweight battle with Puerto Rican Ivan Calderon. But with Calderon looking less than impressive this past weekend in a rematch with Rodel Mayol, a fight Calderon won by technical decision, Viloria is now looking for a rematch with Sosa.
Sosa holds an April, 2007 unanimous decision victory over Viloria.

Viloria should fight first in Cebu City, Philippines to gain additional supports from pinoys.
brian viloria will surely KO edgar sosa this time. peace to all
viloria vs sosa? yeah right!! sosa will get his ass handed to him. ive seen the fight between the two, when sosa won over viloria via majority decision. viloria had the chance to knock him out numerous times, but somehow, never followed thru when viloria stunned him. the viloria now is by far the best in the division, even sosa is scared to fight him in a rematch because he knows that he cant hand with the hawaiian punch. sosa will never fight outside of mexico, hes a pussaay. im embarrassed for him. he knows he lost the last fight with viloria. i want to see viloria unify the titles and move up in weight and fight koki kameda. oh, i cant forget about calderon, viloria will whoop his ass too.
i wanna see viloria vs calderon i think that would be a great show
pidjanga, r u from mainit surigao del norte? where are you now?
i guess calderon is much better because he is lb-4-lb material though less impressive in his last fight with mayol and less attractive because of his running style - in short boring fighter. if viloria defeats calderon, he will gain respects and ranking which is better to gain ground in choosing opponents and value in terms of purse split!
@mexican from 808
Hell ya, Viloria should expose the three Kameda brothers and fight those jumped-up little gits all at once.
I heard the Kamedas had been training in Mexico, probably learning the proper way to fight dirtier. *snicker*
its better viloria to rematch edgar sosa.. its better to prove villoria TO WIN THE BATTLE..
I'm still sketchy about Viloria's loss to Sosa. I watched it a few times and if you analyze the fight from a technical standpoint, the only edge that Sosa had over Brian was that he was throwing more volume but he never really landed anything meaningful. Viloria landed the better shots. Overall, I think it could've gone either way. But now that Viloria has rejuvenated himself, he would defintiely take Sosa out in 5-7 rounds easy.
Viloria sucks versus movers. Sosa will box circles around Viloria. But got to give Viloria respect for asking to take on the hardest fighter he fought. Love fighters who rematch guys that they know would be a hard fight.
