Saturday, in a complete shut-out Hawaii beat Texas 10-0 in the US Championship game at the Little League World Series (LLWS); the game ended in the fifth inning with the 10-run rule.

Saturday, with a crowd of almost 29,000 the Little League World Series continued in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania with the world and US championship games. Sunday, the world championship title game will be Hawaii vs. Japan.

One of the interesting facts about the Hawaii team is that over the last eight days during the LLWS games, Hawaii hitters were hit with 14 balls breaking a LLWS record.  The Hawaii players stand very close to home plate and as a result were hit repeatedly. Hawaii won the LLWS world title in 2005 and 2008 and they want to do it again.

Hawaii also won in 2008....the same Waipio team that is in the Championship game tomorrow. If they win tomorrow, it will be Hawaii's 3rd championship in 6 years.

Those kids from Hawaii are well balanced on defense and on offense.
    Very well coached.
